October is...

Breast Cancer Awareness month! And to support the cause, we are going PINK! There are so many great ways that you can support breast cancer awareness throughout your wedding planning process. Purchase your gown through a great organization such as Brides Against Breast Cancer which allows brides-to-be a chance to find the gown of their dreams at a remarkable price, while helping to make wishes and memory-making events come true for women and men who are losing their fight against breast cancer. Love pink? Wear a pink wedding gown that supports a greater cause: Brides magazine teamed up with the Bridal industry’s most recognized and renowned designers to promote their pink wedding dresses with proceeds to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

The magazine is showing its commitment to this cause with its Something Pink November/December issue, which will feature a 23-page spread filled with pink wedding gowns.

You can also throw a "Pink Bridal Shower" with the Pink Envelope Project. You include special Pink Donation Envelopes with your shower invitations asking your guests to make a donation to Making Memories on behalf of your bridal shower. At your bridal shower, you will gather the sealed envelopes and later send them directly to the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.

I will be supporting the cause as I participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, 60 mile Breast Cancer walk again later this month. Please contribute to breast cancer awareness and research any way you can!
