Ashley Baber Weddings on The Wedding Planning Audiocast Podcast

I am excited to report that our podcast with The Wedding Planning Audiocast is up and available {for free!} on itunes! It was so fun to chat with the host Ralph Mucci not only about Southern Weddings, but also about ways to effectively budget for your wedding.

The NotWedding Inspiration Boards: Sneak Peek II

The NotWedding is this Sunday! Here is another sneak peek at 2 of the 5 design boards that our stylist Joy Thigpen has created. See Joy's thoughts on each board below and stay tuned for one more beautiful board to come!

"I wanted this look to be the most formal of the bunch. It's formal, yet not stuffy- I would call it elegant and playful. I like the idea of mixing lace and suit material for the tabletops, and the fake mustaches add a fun touch. This board aims to mix masculine and feminine elements in a classic and cohesive way."

"This look is the for the budget-minded and those who are wanting to invest money into a few items of the day. I imagine that the splurge of this wedding would be on the dress. You could compensate for that expense with homemade and DIY items, such as the pictures in upside down jars. This wedding evokes thoughts of barbecue and a pie table instead of a cake."

Splurge vs. Save

You decide..... {We love both of them!}

Custom Wedding Art

Amanda from our Virginia office sent me this adorable custom art work that was created for Ashley + Patrick's wedding in October. Ashley + Patrick live in San Francisco, but will be having their wedding on a farm, so Angilina Douglas created a Save-the-Date that reflects the best of both worlds. Cute!

The NotWedding Inspiration Boards: Sneak Peek I

We are gearing up for The NotWedding on April 5th! I want to share a sneak peek of the 5 design boards that our stylist Joy Thigpen created and is working from for her fabulous wedding concepts to be unveiled at the event. Here are the first couple of boards {with Joy's thoughts on each board}... more to come!

“This board was definitely inspired by California. It’s a fun and sunny look, absolutely for the girl who is flirty and fun-loving, and still modern. I incorporated some eco-friendly options for this look, including the succulents that could be reused or given as favors.”

"This board was inspired by a picture of Betsy Johnson. The look of this wedding is vintage- punk. It's pretty and feminine but not very sugary. I would consider this to be a modern garden wedding in Atlanta, especially with the addition of the garden bouquet."

Ellie & Dave: Part I

Ellie and Dave were married at Northside United Methodist Church on January 24th. What a sweet couple and amazing details!

I love the florals! The use of cabbage is unexpected and stunning.

The girls looked beautiful in Olive dresses from Paisley Umbrella.

You can just feel the powerful emotion in this moment- this is definitely my favorite ceremony shot to date.

A few sweet moments right after the ceremony...

Stay tuned for all of the amazing reception details..... and more gorgeous photographs from Our Labor of Love.

Ellie & Dave: Part II

After the beautiful ceremony, guests headed to the Foundry at Puritan Mill for a fabulous party. Just before they made their grand entrance, Ellie and Dave had some time for pictures of just the two of them around the Mill.

Ellie's Dad owns a furniture showroom, so he brought in a bunch of amazing wood furniture and decor including the huge lanterns that hung from the ceilings.

I adore these two pictures- Ellie dancing with Dave and her Dad.

Another beautiful cake from Classic Cheesecakes. The florals and branches are the perfect compliment to all of the natural reception decor.

Papa Sol had the crowd partying hard!

Guests received these adorable bags with little jars of local honey as favors.

Ellie and Dave were sent off in grand style with a sparkler exit to an orange vintage Mercedes.
A huge thank you to the uber-talented Whitney and Jesse of Our Labor of Love for these amazing images. We are excited to see this stunning wedding in print in the Spring. And we were thrilled to see Ellie and Dave's wedding featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs last week. Congrats, Ellie & Dave!
