I had the recent pleasure of speaking with Melissa Diskin, the new "local scout" for brides.com. She is responsible for finding all things fabulous in the bridal industry here in Atlanta and posting them on her blog. And here we are ;)

"With all the hoopla over the ceremony and reception, little things can fall through the cracks. You can go the traditional route for your guest book, but here are a few twists on the usual ivory silk album: ... Planner Ashley Baber of Ashley Baber Weddings says it's important to avoid the "this is what I'm supposed to do" rut. She encouraged one couple to put out a coffee-table book of the honeymoon destination that guests could sign. Vintage postcards of the Hawaiian destination (with return addresses) let the bride and groom keep up with guests afterwards...."
