What a sweet couple and adorable wedding! Avery and Jeff were married at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Little Chapel on June 13th. Avery chose to use silhouettes throughout the entire wedding. You may remember their super cute silhouette Save-the-Date. And I love her personalized silhouette jacket she wore while getting ready.
Sex and the City Manolos. Enough said.
After searching for the perfect dress for some time, Avery opted to have her gown custom made by Olive.
The reception took place at the historic and newly renovated Georgian Terrace Hotel. We were so thankful to have a place for the reception since Avery's intended reception site closed eight days before her wedding. With some quick meetings and a new game plan, the reception was absolutely gorgeous- very elegant- just like Avery!
Instead of a band or DJ, Avery and Jeff opted to have a string quartet play music for the entire evening. Avery wanted the reception to feel like an intimate dinner party rather than a typical wedding reception. They chose "Stand by Me" for their first dance which sounded especially beautiful played by the quartet.
Avery and Jeff hired a silhouette artist that was available throughout the entire evening for guests to have their silhouette cut as a "favor" for them to keep.
Here is what Avery had to say about her wedding day {from Alea Moore's blog}:
"I guess I should start at the beginning. Jeff and I both knew we wanted a small wedding. So many people say that, but we truly wanted the guest list to be immediate family and only very close friends. I had browsed through so many wedding magazines and been to so many weddings, I knew I didn’t want a reception. I approached our wedding from the beginning and went about planning it as if it were a large dinner party. No DJ, no rowdy dancing (even though that can be a lot of fun!), no garter or bouquet toss. Just a refined evening where two people happened to get married beforehand. That was the scene we were going for. Jeff and I started going through our favorite fine dining restaurants and came up with City Grill. It was so beautiful and we knew right away that was the place for the dinner party. Since there’s such a significant age difference in our ages (about 17 years), we knew our guests’ age would range from the young to the young at heart, to older, more mature ages. We wanted something interactive where guests would be politely forced to mingle. We knew we were having a sit down dinner and had already decided on the string quartet to play through dinner, so we knew the interactive activity had to fit in with the rest of the evening. I just stumbled across Edward Casey, the amazing silhouette artist while doing a google search. I really lucked out on finding him. He and his wife, Donna, were so kind and had really great ideas. Unfortunately 8 days before our wedding, City Grill closed its doors for business and we had to find another venue. I can’t complain; The Georgian Terrace, where all our out of town guests were staying, had a ballroom available. It wasn’t exactly the picture I had in my head, or the dinner party I had been planning for 18 months, but at the end of the day, the most important fact remained the same: Jeff and I were married. And really, what more could I ask for? Details wise, I really loved the silhouettes (mine and Jeff’s) that were used on our invitation suite and menus. We wanted to keep things simple and streamlined, so as not to become a theme. I loved the flowers and linens. The linens were re-chosen at the last minute. I am so thankful the wedding community really pulled together for us. It was incredible to see it all come together in 8 days. A huge part was due to my wonderful wedding planner, Ashley Baber. Ooh, and I loved our cake. It was yummy too; I hope you were able to snag a piece! I also loved the hand calligraphy on the seating place cards. Those small splurges really made a difference in the end. "
Thank you for sharing these stunning images, Alea. See the slideshow here. I hear Avery & Jeff had an amazing honeymoon in Paris. Best wishes & keep in touch!

Absolutely stunning! Brilliant details. Great photography. And fabulous couple! Congratulations to everyone involved.
I love the dinner-party-with-live-music as reception, I love the bride's shoes, and I especially love that she kept sight of what was truly important despite the restaurant closing!
