Pretty Pillows

Aren't these just lovely? Anna Whitford creates these gorgeous and sophisticated ring bearer pillows as well as single flowers in a plethora of fabrics and colors that would perfectly coordinate as adorable pin-ons for mothers and as well as a sash addition for bridesmaids. Ooooh- or the perfect hair accessory! The possibilities are endless. And you have to check out the collection of feminine "clip purses" that would be such a cute maids gift....

Kathy & Ryan

Kathy and Ryan were married on May 24th at the Church of Our Saviour in the Highlands. This adorable church is conveniently located across the street from Fire Station 19, which made for great pictures with the Groom and Groomsmen prior to the ceremony. Kathy's girls were in a beautiful light plum tone that the red and pink florals complimented perfectly. As the ceremony started, the oh-so-cute ring bearer pulling the flower girl in a red wagon almost stole the show until Kathy came down the aisle. After the ceremony, guests proceeded to the reception in the Grand Salon at The Fox Theater. The weather was perfect for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the terrace. The tables were adorned in beautiful citron linens and were named after local landmarks. Guests enjoyed a stations meal including a very elaborate dessert station that was sure to include Kathy's favorite- rice crispy treats. In lieu of favors, Kathy and Ryan opted to donate to their favorite charities. The couple got some great shots around the theater before making their bubble exit to their horse and carriage. See the slideshow for all of their fabulous details. It was such a pleasure working with Kathy and Ryan for the last year-- best wishes to them both and we wish Ryan continued success with his luxury travel site journeyPOD. Thank you to- you guessed it- Christine Gallagher- for these beautiful images.

Jennifer & Aaron

Aaron came to us through our wonderful client Tracey. They are cousins and it was so much fun to get to know their family through their weddings that were almost exactly one month apart. Emily was on-site for Jennifer and Aaron's wedding on Daufuskie Island on May 17th. Daufuskie Island is a private island just off Hilton Head, South Carolina. The wedding day was so fun and began with golf for the men and a spa day for the ladies. Jennifer wanted a simple sage and white color palette with Tulips everywhere from the bouquets to the centerpieces. The ceremony took place in front of the gorgeous gazebo overlooking the water- what a perfect day. Guests partied the night away under the stars. There are no cars on the island, so Jennifer and Aaron exited to their golf cart, but it looks like some of their friends got to it first. What happened next... well, that I am not so sure about..... Thank you to Lowcountry Photojournalism for these amazing (and funny!) images!

Hello, Beautiful

Hi!!! Please excuse my lack of entries in June. I think we were all still recovering from our super busy May and trying to keep up the pace and perfection for June. What a great month with lots of fabulous weddings and news of exciting press (stay tuned). The last few weddings have had me dreaming of shoes- wonderful, gorgeous shoes (Lisa's vintage Jimmy Choos and Jan's RED heels). I think this Sergio Rossi pair are perfect for that "something blue" all of you are looking for. Next up: I will catch you up on our weddings in May and June. We will be skipping around a bit, which has actually been one of the reasons for my delay: my neuroticism with order- but nevertheless, we will proceed...

Save the Date!!!

Yes-- I have been MIA on the blog as of late, I apologize. I will try and catch up this week with lots of fun stuff and amazing weddings! In the meantime, you MUST know about the "Save the Date" event at our studio space, The Paisley Umbrella, on Thursday in conjunction with Atlanta Weddings Magazine and many of the best wedding vendors around. Please RSVP ASAP- it is sure to be fabulous!

Erika & Chris

Erika and Chris were married at WaterColor Inn in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on May 10th. Erika invisioned a sophisticated twist on "pink and green" for her Spring nuptials. After some fun in the sun on Friday, Chris and Erika were married at Cerulean Park on the WaterColor property on Saturday. Erika wore a beautiful Paloma Blanca gown with lace that happened to match the lace on her Matron of Honor's veil perfectly {the MOH was our former client Anne!}. What a special something borrowed!! The couple's french bulldogs Hank and Louis made a brief appearance as the ring bearers in their doggie tuxedos {have I mentioned I love it when dogs are involved in the wedding?!}. After the ceremony "in the round," guests moved poolside for a cocktail hour that featured a pink lemonade and vodka specialty drink {with a sprig of mint to incorporate the green, of course!}, a raw bar and sushi. Shortly there after, guests made their way to the tented lawn for dinner and dancing. The tent was adorned with various sized white Asian lanterns and floral clusters in every shade of pink and green and candles everywhere. The band came all the way from Alabama and they really kept the party going-- they even had the bridesmaids up on stage as back-up singers for a wild rendition of a classic Tina Turner song! It was a beautiful day. Thank you to the very talented Lee Patterson for these gorgeous images!

Courtney & Joe

Courtney and Joe were married at Emerald Pointe Resort at Lake Lanier on May 3rd. From my very first meeting with Courtney, I knew this would be a fabulous event. Courtney had so many great ideas including a beautiful Navy, Champagne and White color palette. Early on, Courtney created a monogram that was later integrated into a wax seal that was used on the couple's invitations, which were mailed with various vintage stamps. As the wedding day arrived, Courtney looked stunning in her Romona Keveza gown flanked by her maids in super-chic in Jenny Yoo bridesmaids dresses {love the same color and fabric, but with different cuts!}. Courtney and Joe were married in a touching Christian and Jewish interfaith ceremony under a birch chuppa on a gazebo that looks out over Lake Lanier. The weather could not have been more perfect- sunny with a gorgeous breeze- it was just lovely. And the best part? The ring bearers were the couple's dogs. After the ceremony the couple had the opportunity to get some amazing shots on the surrounding property before joining their guests in the ballroom. Courtney's vision came to fruition in the ballroom with Champagne and Navy satin linens, lots of candlelight and centerpieces of white hydrangea and Vendela roses. Joe is in the restaurant industry, so he worked with the chef to create a special menu that began with a scallop ceviche and gazpacho shooter. Guests then enjoyed a salad and dual entree of petit filet and chicken saltimbocca with shallot mashed potatoes and baby zuchinni and squash. And in addition to wedding cake for dessert, there were two! donut "grooms cake" towers to represent one of Joe's favorite foods and "Martha Stewart-esque" wedding cake cookie favors . Guests danced to everything from the Hora to 80's hair bands- and how could we forget the bride and bridesmaids dancing the choreographed moves to "Soldier Boy" they learned at the Bachelorette Party?! Late night the party moved to the hotel bar. What a fun wedding and couple! Thank you to Ron White for these lovely images!

WOW

Last night I enjoyed the 50th Anniversary celebration of NACE- the National Association of Catering Executives- at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Atlanta happens to be the home of the largest NACE chapter in the Country! The event had gorgeous decor, innovative food, fun entertainment and even pyrotechnics! I also discovered a fabulous product- the WOW Photobooth- and enjoyed it with some friends (clockwise: Chaun and Cate from The Four Seasons and Julia from the Grand Hyatt Buckhead- and Cate and I below). They have a multitude of options for weddings and I just think this is so fun for your guests {perfect for Cocktail Hour entertainment!} and a great way for them to have a momento of your wedding long after your grand exit. You can also incorporate these pics into a unique guest book. Say Cheeeeese!

Paper Tape Films: Denise & Bradley

I was so happy to receive an e-mail from our former clients Denise and Bradley today sharing their amazing Super 8 wedding film from Paper Tape Films {a division of Fifty Foot Films}. I just love it!
