On our radar...

I recently attended Engage10! at the Breakers in Palm Beach. It was my 2nd Engage! event and I was, again, blown away by all of the amazingly talented people in this industry that were in attendance. There were a few vendors that I thought provided particularly unique services that I want to tell you about for your upcoming wedding or event:

:: Donut Divas ::
Everyone loved the mini donut station provided by Donut Divas at Engage10! Mini donuts are made fresh right in front of your guests and then topped with your choice of sugar & cinnamon or powdered sugar. Yum! Other delectable options from the Donut Divas include a Fudge Puppies Station: Belgian Waffles on a stick, dipped in Ghirardelli hot fudge and topped with whip cream and sprinkles or nuts, Mini Funnel Cakes and Deep Fried Candy Bars and Oreos. For the health(ier) conscious, they even offer a gourmet Candy Apple Station. See the Donut Divas in action (love that this video is set to the ER opening soundtrack) :

:: Newly Wish Registry ::
Bored with the same old registry options? Looking for items that are more chic, unique, stylish and functional? Newly Wish allows you to access NYC’s finest merchants that provide everything from kitchen and tabletop to home décor- even bridal party gifts- so that you can truly Love Your Registry! And for couples that live in NYC or frequent the city, you can register for cooking & dancing lessons, spa, fitness, theater tickets & more! I hope Newly Wish continues to expand to offer these registry options to couples in other cities, but in the meantime, we are excited about this wonderful new registry option!

:: Wedding Cake Pedestals ::
Not in love with the over sized, ornate, uber-traditional, silver cake risers everyone seems to use? Check out the fabulous options for custom cake pedestals from WeddingCakePedestals.com.

Just be sure you coordinate the size of the base of your cake with your cake baker to match up to the size of the pedestal you purchase. We love that you can keep your pedestal as a piece to entertain with in your new home- and that it will undoubtedly become a family heirloom.

:: Custom Wedding Songs ::
Felice Keller Productions helps clients celebrate their lives and transform their most special moments by creating their signature soundtrack. They work with you and the most successful song writers in the business to write original, custom songs for weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and other milestones. We love the idea of couples truly having "their song"- written and performed just for them- on their wedding day. Or maybe as a surprise for your bride or groom-to-be? How charming!

Congratulations J.Crew!

We are jumping ahead on our typical Friday Fashion post to congratulate J.Crew on the opening of their first Bridal Boutique today in NYC in conjunction with Martha Stewart Weddings. Darcy Miller is hosting the event at the store which is on Madison Avenue. Exciting! We hope to see more stores pop up all over the country very soon!

Fabulous Frock Friday

I absolutely fell in love with the accessories from Untamed Petals I came across on Ruffled Blog a few weeks ago- FAB indeed!

Couture Maps

I received the most adorable map in the mail a couple of weeks ago from a San Francisco based company called Couture Maps. Stephannie Barba makes the most adorable maps (named one of Brides Magazines 100 Best Products of the year) that she then sews on a fabric backing. I also love the maps used on Save-the-Dates or even on wedding accessories such as welcome bags or napkins.

Atlanta Finds

Happy Friday! I have stumbled upon some great finds in Atlanta and wanted to share.

I have long been fascinated with macarones- their multi-colored, bite-sized, Frenchy-ness, but I am not sure I had ever eaten one until last night. Huge. Mistake. Now I am in love. In particular, I am in love with the macarones from Crumb {a bakery}. The chocolate was to die for, but I love that the owner Sabrina had a lot of unique flavors such as lavender, pistachio and vanilla hazelnut. I adore these for weddings as favors for guests or as part of a dessert display... or just to eat any day of the week.

I discovered these macarones at a party for Ann Roth Shoes- a custom shoe boutique here in Atlanta. I love that you can customize bridal shoes for yourself (how sassy are the metallic heels below!?) or your whole bridal party in a multitude of colors, fabrics and embellishments. I think it would be so fun to have a bridesmaids tea or luncheon at Ann's new space at the Paisley Umbrella and have the girls customize their own espadrilles {that they would actually wear again} for a spring or summer wedding.

I am also digging on Aviary {an organic beauty collective}, Amy Leavell Bransford’s eco-conscious spa and salon, for organic pre-wedding (and every day) skin and hair care and pampering. The earthy “health and beauty collective” of aestheticians, stylists, and massage therapists is located at Studioplex in the Old Fourth Ward.

DIY Redux

Remember this cute DIY look?

I know the vintage tea tins can be a little tricky to find. Equally as adorable are these vintage coffee tins from Coffee City USA. I especially love them for a brunch wedding and if you prefer not to use them in the decor, they would make sweet favors.

Stamp Happy

This time of year so many of us are sending thank you notes for sweet Holiday gifts and, as a bride, you are undoubtedly sending out thank you notes for showers, gifts and more. We love these personalized self-inking stamps from PSA Essentials. They are such a cute alternative to pre-printed labels and so much more fun and time saving! than adding your personal address by hand.

Sweet Southern Stocking Stuffers

Say that 3 times fast! Here are some of our fav picks for Southern stocking stuffers that also make great wedding party gifts or favors.

Goodies from Moon Pie. Belle Bands from Southern Proper. Book: "Suck Your Stomach In & Put Some Color On! What Southern Mamas Tell their Daughters that the Rest of Y'all Should Know Too." Praline coated pecans from Savannah Candy

For a minimal investment, you can customize all of your wedding stationery and accessories. After all, it's all in the details, right?

Cheers!

Having a home wedding or a wedding at venue that allows you to bring in your own alcohol? We found a great resource for wines at reasonable prices. Cameron Hughes Wine picks up excess inventory from vintners, then blends, bottles and labels it. CH Wines offers special discounts for weddings and will ship the wines directly to your home or your venue. They will also buy back wines that are not served and their Sommelier will even help you pair wines to your menu at no additional charge! Cheers!

Martha for pingg

A great new {eco-chic} concept from Martha Stewart and pingg. Lovely, stylish, customized online invitations and e-cards for wedding showers and engagement parties. Manage your event online- send invitations by e-mail to anyone in your address book and post to your social networks! See more here.

You and your girls will dig these sassy ballet flats from Dessy. They come in almost 2 dozen colors, so you are sure to find the perfect pair!

Fabulous Frock Friday: Heidi Elnora comes to Atlanta!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the opening of Heidi Elnora's second store front {the first is in Birmingham} in an adorable boutique in the heart of Midtown. The event was sponsored by the Atlantan Brides magazine. Heidi {a Project Runway alum} could not be more sweet and down to Earth. Southern brides will undoubtedly flock to the store to have the experience of creating a completely custom gown with the designer herself. We are so excited to have this fresh perspective on finding the wedding gown of your dreams right here in Atlanta. To see her complete collection {which she refers to as "the girls"}, see her website or make an appointment to meet with Heidi in person. Here are some great images the talented Jessica Ashley of Peachtree Photography took.
