We will interview gown designers, jewelers, photographers and more!- all to seek out the best and most current information on what is available to you- the bride-to-be!

A Year in Review: 2009
How do I even begin to sum up 2009?
We planned The Knot's local wedding vendor event ("Market Party"),
The NotWedding which received a lot of National coverage,
... and Kaitlyn and Sam's FreeWedding.
and couldn't get enough of this eco-chic tablescape.
I traveled a lot for work and even a little for play....
I had some life and career changing experiences at Engage 09 in the Caymans,
my trip to Costa Rica,
and most recently, I got fired up to Make Things Happen in 2010 in Florida.
We were very fortunate to receive great press this year and I am so excited to report that our Virginia office was voted "Best of The Knot 2010." We were honored to be a part of so many wonderful couple's wedding day.
We are looking forward to some exciting things in 2010 including new technology that will allow us to be in better communication with each of our clients and lots of fun projects, collaborations and photoshoots. And, of course, fabulous weddings that hopefully will continue to inspire you.
To all of our clients- past, present and future...
Thank you to each one of our readers, fans, clients, colleagues, friends and family members that support us daily.... you don't know how much you mean to us. Thank you to our wonderful team- Amanda D, Emily, Heather, Courtney and Amanda G who keep me sane and do a phenomenal job. Cheers to a great 2009 and we are looking forward to an amazing 2010! Happy New Year!

This image from James Christianson is from one of my all-time favorite winter weddings.
Looking at this wedding again made me have dreams of this pretty, snowy, blue winter wedding...

Row 2: Pine Cone Bouquet: Laurie Cinotto Stationery: Vera Wang from FineStationery.com
Row 3: Pearls: Erin Keys on Etsy Hot Chocolate: MS
{I just love the idea of sending guests home with a cup of hot chocolate with snowflake marshmallows on a cold night!}

Jenny & Andy {A Dual Feature with The Bride's Cafe}
We are so excited that Janie at The Bride's Cafe {one of our favorite blogs!} is also featuring Jenny and Andy's wedding today!
What do you get when you combine Ashley Baber Weddings + Our Labor of Love + Amy Osaba + the SmileBooth + Dolci Odille? An oh-so-sweet-and-charming wedding like Jenny and Andy's wedding in Atlanta on September 5th! Jenny and Andy were married at a quiet little Duck Pond tucked away in Buckhead. The bridesmaids wore different shades of pink and carried vibrant flowers.
The reception was held at Jenny's parent's restaurant, Cafe Sunflower. The cakes {there were several!} were from Southern Sweets and were all organic, vegan and deeelish. I loved the simplicity of the main cake and the wooden cake toppers hand painted to look like the bride and groom.
Jenny and Andy had not one, not two, but FOUR types of unique entertainment at their reception. A mariachi band greeted guests as they arrived at the restaurant. Inside, a flamenco guitarist serenaded guests as they enjoyed dinner. Guests lined up for the tarot card reader throughout the evening and... wait for it... a belly dancer was a surprise for guests just before the couple's exit!
Congratulations and Best Wishes, Jenny & Andy!

All I want for Christmas....
Well... a girl can dream can't she? Love these festive Christian Louboutins (L) and Valentinos for the Holidays or a wedding!
Wooden-it be lovely?
We are loving faux bois {which literally translates to "false wood"} and wood details right now. I can see all of these creative details as part of a wedding in the Fall or Winter-- maybe in the mountains....
