Fabulous Frock Friday

One of our super chic clients sent me a picture of her Rivini wedding gown. I literally *GASPED* aloud it is so gorgeous. Loving all of the soft textural details!

Cori & Brett

Cori and Brett had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Brumby House and Gardens in Marietta. Cori is a meeting planner, so as you can imagine, every detail of her big day was planned perfectly. We loved all of her fabulous orange details.

You will have to wait for the next The Knot Georgia magazine to hit newsstands to see more of this wonderful wedding. A big thank you to Tina Rowden for these gorgeous images! {See their complete slideshow and more fabulous details here.}

Diana & Jeff

Congratulations to Diana and Jeff who had their ceremony and reception at the Piedmont Garden Tent on May 1st. It was such a such a gorgeous day, which provided the perfect opportunity for these great photos from Alea Moore.

We felt like we were in the middle of "Dancing with the Stars" as Diana and Jeff performed the Tango for their first dance {dress change and all!}

The bride and groom were sent off with a bubble exit. I love this ring shot Alea got with the bubbles just before their departure.

engage! 09 :: Something Blue Re-cap!

I had the most amazing time at engage! 09 :: Something Blue! {a business summit for luxury wedding professionals} at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman last month. Here is a re-cap of the events told through these gorgeous images from Stacey Kane (thank you, Stacey!). Upon arrival to the hotel, we were greeted with adorable swag bags full of goodies. I love the map Laura Hooper created for the event.

The first night, the mega-talented Michelle Rago created this fabulous beach party. Fun details included a shoe valet, mango mojitos {OK- lots of flavors of mojitos thanks to Tortuga Rum, which is made on the island}, beach furniture, custom linens and tents, a huge phalaenopsis orchid/manzanita branch centerpiece for the bar, a steel drum band that pulled right up to the party on a boat and a surprise fireworks display! Wow.

Day two, we heard from some of the industry greats: Carley Roney, Co-Founder of The Knot, Sylvia Weinstock, Millie Martini Bratten, Editor of BRIDES Magazine, Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings and Antonia van der Meer Editor of Modern Bride and Elegant Bride Magazines. Simon T. Bailey, a motivational speaker, was one of my favorites, as well as these two {Marcy Blum and Preston Bailey} who spoke of hot topics like vendor commissions, DIY weddings {how does this affect planners/designers?} and the recession.

I also had the pleasure of chatting with Darcy Miller of Martha Stewart Weddings about the blog- and about her fabulous Prada sandals.

After a long day of absorbing as much as possible from the wonderful speakers, I had the pleasure of having dinner with Preston Bailey at the Ritz at Chef Eric Ripert's restaurant Blue.

Day three we heard from many more industry leaders on topics such as the business of the wedding business, destination weddings and social media.

Later that night, Jo-Anne Brown and her team from Celebrations Ltd transformed the ballroom into a magical "under-the-sea" party. All of the well thought out details- an "aquarium" bar with live fish, lounge areas for everyone to relax in, multiple GoBos is sea shapes such as sand dollars, lit tables, tropical florals, a huge floral starfish centerpiece, amazing linens from LaTavola and blue everything- from the drinks to the lighting- made it a night to remember.

But the most memorable part of the evening {and there are many} and possibly all of engage! 09 was Sylvia Weinstock dancing up a storm with Kleinfeld's (and TLC's Say Yes to the Dress) Randy Fenoli. See the video here courtesy of Bee Kim {the creator of WeddingBee}.

I had a blast with everyone at the party including these two super fun, friendly and down to earth ladies- Marcy and Michelle.

Thank you to Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce of Engaging Concepts for putting together such an incredible event! I met so many wonderful and inspirational wedding professionals from all over. I can't wait for the next engage!

Miranda & Chris

Miranda and Chris were married on April 18th. Before the ceremony, both the bride and groom - and their wedding parties- got ready at the W Hotel in Buckhead, which was a great spot for pre-wedding photos. I love Miranda's couture Rivini gown and hot pink Dior stilettos.

Miranda had nine bridesmaids who wore gorgeous black Jim Hjelm asymmetrical gowns. Miranda added a "touch of glamour" to their simple and elegant gowns with brooches.

And I don't know if you can see it in the group shot above, but this was one of my favorite fashion details of the day: Miranda wanted to distinguish her three maids of honor, so they wore these chic black birdcage veils.

The ceremony was at Christ the King and included lots of sweet touches. As guests arrived, they were given feathers to wave in the air when the bride and groom kissed at the end of the ceremony. The flower girls wore angel wings and carried wands.

I love that they have the same reaction as the ceremony ends!

Their swanky black and white reception at 103 West had lots of great details. The first ballroom that guests entered for dinner was all white- the linens, lush white florals, manzanita branches draped in crystals and hanging votives.

After dinner, guests moved to the upstairs ballroom for the dance party where two DJs were spinning. The decor upstairs was so fun- huge white feather plumes, a black and white dance floor, a custom tulle cake table linen and the couple's new monogram everywhere- from custom pillows in the lounge area to decals on all of the mirrors. Miranda added a unique feather headpiece to her ensemble.

Chris' brother owns the Fur Bus, so they provided all of the transportation for the day and made sure everyone got home safely {a great idea for transportation at the end of the night- especially if your crew wants to hit the town after the wedding!}. Congrats, Miranda & Chris! We wish you all the best! Thank you to White Rose Studios for these beautiful images! I also adore {you must watch} this video trailer from Indy Productions!
