Vanessa & Matt

Vanessa and Matt live in California, but were married here in Atlanta on September 14th. I was in Vail, Colorado for Paula and Ernie's wedding so Emily was "at the helm" for what turned out to be a very rainy wedding day! Vanessa and Matt were scheduled to be married in the Garden Tent at Park Tavern. However, it was raining so hard that the tent was leaking, so we were very fortunate to be able to move the ceremony and reception upstairs in the Piedmont Room. There was eventually a break in the rain so that Vanessa and Matt could venture out into Piedmont Park where Alea Moore was able to get some great pics of Vanessa's RED shoes! She actually had the bottom of the shoes encrusted with blue crystals spelling out their initials. Thank you for the amazing images, Alea- I hear some of the images from their wedding are going to be featured on theknot.com!

Beth & Jason

We were so honored when Beth- who works for one of our favorite floral designers, Little Sparrow- asked us to be a part of her big day on September 8th. I was with Lisa and Roy, so Emily was on hand to ensure that Beth and Jason's day was perfect. Beth's photographer- John Bamber (based in TN)- was able to get some great shots in Midtown at the Georgian Terrace and in front of the Fabulous Fox Theater prior to heading to the church. I felt so fortunate to see a little bit of their ceremony because Beth and Jason were also getting married at Peachtree Road United Methodist! Their gorgeous, jewel-toned reception followed at King Plow Arts Center, and as you can imagine, the flowers were amazing! Lisa & Roy

On September 8th, Lisa and Roy were married at Peachtree Road United Methodist and we were back at Capital City Club, Brookhaven for their elegant reception. The Crane invitations set the scene for the sophisticated tonal pink and brown color pallate which was carried through in the floral arrangements on the three stunning estate tables at the reception. The evening would not have been complete without a dress change! Lisa changed out of her strapless Melissa Sweet frock (and ultra chic cage veil) into a new neckline- a halter gown from Kelly's Closet. It was my honor to work with the award winning, husband and wife photography duo, Mark and Erin, and from LaCour- thank you for these beautiful images!

Gone to the Dogs

I am a dog person. Therefore, the idea of incorporating dogs into weddings is a marriage made in heaven as far as I am concerned. Our August 18th couple, Hannah and Jason, did just that by making their Boxer Barney the ring bearer ("Ring Security" was his official title on the programs) at their wedding at King Plow Arts Center. If you would like to include your dog in your wedding, the first step is to determined if your ceremony and/or reception site will allow your dog to partcipate in your wedding. Once you have determined that they will allow your precious pooch to participate, there are some definite "do's and don'ts" that go along with having your dog involved . First and foremost, remember that, even though we love our pets, not all of them are meant to be at weddings. Consider carefully whether your pet will be comfortable and happy at your ceremony or reception. As much as you may want your pet there, your pet may be far more content staying at home with a favorite toy. Secondly, decide what you want your pet to do. Keep in mind your pet's temperament and abilities. Lastly, designate someone to watch your pet. Even if your pet's role in the wedding is as simple as sitting next to you, neither you nor your fiancé can really be expected to give the pet your full attention during the wedding. Try to choose someone your pet already knows and trusts. If you can't, arrange a meeting ahead of time so your pet can get used to its minder for the day. Photo courtesy of theknot.com

Anne & Jerry

On August 11th, while I was at the Biltmore Ballrooms for Sarah and Derrick's wedding, Cate and Amanda were working hard to ensure Anne and Jerry's wedding was flawless. Anne and Jerry were married at Peachtree Presbyterian with their reception following at Capital City Club, Brookhaven. Anne wore a stunning Monique Lhullier gown and green orchids were seen throughout the ceremony and reception. Anne was sure to include fun touches like the grooms cake shaped like a taco- Jerry's favorite food! The band was incredible and everyone had a blast! Christine Hatfield took the beautiful images you see here. Watch the slideshow: www.christinehatfield.com/Anne&Jerry

Catherine & Alejandro

Catherine and Alejandro were married at Eagles Landing Country Club on August 4th. Both Catherine and Alejandro have the sweetest families- it was such a pleasure to get to know them! The ceremony and reception were infused with Catherine's favorite color: pink! Alejandro is Guatemalan, so the reception was quite a late night party, complete with a fantastic ten piece Cuban Salsa band, Orchestra MaCuba. Best wishes to Catherine and Alejandro as they continue to merge their cultures in their own family and travel the world together! We appreciate these great images from Shannon Belletti.

Lori & Bryan

While I was at the Atlanta History Center, the fabulous Tijen was assisting Lori and Bryan with their beautiful wedding at the historic Rhodes Hall on July 28th. Lori chose an oh-so-appropriate bright floral color palatte that included pink and orange gerbera daisies. She was a natural beauty in this gorgeous Nicole Miller gown that happen to fit her perfectly right off the rack! I love the Atlanta cityscape shot that Rhodes Hall is (secretly) known for. Lori and Bryan were honeymooning in Tahiti and I have no doubt they enjoyed themselves immensely after this great party! Thank you to the very talented Kristen Alexander for this great photo board!

Betsy & David

Betsy and David had both their wedding ceremony and reception at the Atlanta History Center on July 28th. These two Georgia Tech grads were such a fun, laid back couple! It was a beautiful, clean look with green and white floral accents covering the Grand Overlook ballroom. The bridesmaids wore chocolate Vera Wang gowns accented with green sashes, which tied the look together perfectly. The bridal party took a little time out for some fun shots on the lawn of The Swan House as the guests enjoyed a photobooth and the sounds of the Southern Mississippi Patrick Smith Band. See their slideshow here: http://www.christinehatfield.com/Betsy&David

Heather & Michael

Heather and Michael were married at Peachtree Presbyterian with their reception to follow at Fernbank on July 14th. The brown and green color palatte was a great backdrop for the perfect pop of summery purple and pink orchids. Heather customized her dress by affixing her grandmother's brooch to the empire waist of her gown- it was beautiful and such a sweet touch! It was a fun day as the bridal party made their way around town in the Georgia Tech Trolley- all documented by an amazing husband and wife photography team based out of Florida- Meg and Charles Baisden. It was a pleasure to get to know them! These images are amazing, guys- thank you very much! See the complete slideshow of their day: http://www.megphoto.com/slideshow/heather_michael/
